The Insect Museum of West China announced on Apr. 23 that it had discovered the largest individual mosquito in the world so far.

Here’s how big it is: The mosquito is nearly 5 cm (approx. 2") in length and reaches 11.15 cm (approx. 4") in width when it spreads its wings.
